Albert Earl Jones, 82, of Ruidoso and formerly of Brownfield passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2010 in Ruidoso.
Graveside services with Masonic Rights will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 29, 2010 at Terry County Memorial Cemetery in Brownfield, Texas under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Earl was born on August 26, 1927 in Childress, TX to L.M. and Mable Jones. He later moved to Lubbock with his family, where he graduated high school. He then received a Bachelor's in Business Degree from Texas Tech University where he was a wrangler. Earl moved to Brownfield in 1950. He married Maye Williams on January 25, 1953 in Lubbock. She preceded him in death on June 28, 1999. Earl owned and operated Jones and Copeland Insurance in Brownfield, which later became Jones and Lowe Insurance Agency. He retired in 2001. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and a member of the Masons in Brownfield. Earl was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp.
Earl is survived by his daughter, Angela Munro and her husband Stan of El Paso and 2 grandsons, Nicolas and Alexander Munro of El Paso.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to The American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
