Graveside services for Billy McCallister, 83, of Meadow will be 11am, Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Ken McClung officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
The family will receive visitors at Resthaven Mausoleum Chapel from 9:30-10:30 prior to service.
Billy passed away February 27, 2010 in Lubbock. He was born July 20, 1926 to Loyd and Lou McCallister in Lubbock County. He graduated from Meadow High School. He married Billye L. Belew on April 8, 1944 in Tahoka. She preceded him in death October 19, 2007. He was a member of Meadow First Baptist Church. Billy farmed until retiring in 1965.
Billy is survived by a son, Gary McCallister and wife Debra of Lubbock; a daughter, Vicki Finley and husband Gene of Austin; 5 grandchildren, Trace Finley and wife Janet, Brice Finley, Brant Finley, Stephanie McCallister and Jeff McCallister and wife Amy; 3 great grandchildren, Ross Finley, Will Finley and Ryan McCallister; a sister, Mattie Tudor of Brownfield; a niece Pam Carroll and husband Don of Meadow.
