Graveside services for Billy Gene Langford, 83, of Brownfield will be at 2:00pm, Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at Terry County Memorial Cemetery with Don McWhorter officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Billy went home to see his Lord on Saturday, October 2, 2010 in Amarillo. He was born June 1, 1927 in Brownfield to Jim L. and Ethel Wooley Langford. He was raised in Terry County. He graduated from Brownfield High School and then attended Texas A & M University. He served in the U.S. Army. He owned a service station in Brownfield, which he operated until 1949. He was involved in family farming until he moved to Amarillo in 2004. Gene was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Ray, L.V. and Dee Langford; a sister, Sue Gray.
Billy is survived by 2 sisters, Linnie Loyd of Amarillo and Wanda Parrish of Tokio; several nieces and nephews.
