Graveside services for C. A. "Allen" Blankenship, 96, of Brownfield will be at 1:00 pm, Saturday, January 19, 2008 at Terry County Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Les Jackson officiating under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Allen passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at his home. He was born May 25, 1911 to Thurman John and Addie May Blankenship in Tahoka, TX. He married Hallie Pauline Worsham, Dec. 19, 1936 in Brownfield. She preceded him in death Sept. 4, 1998. He is also preceded in death by his brothers and sisters and two sons Dugan and Royce Allen Blankenship.
He is survived by a son, Cecil Blankenship of Washington, Missouri; 5 grandchildren, Kurt Blankenship of Brownfield, Kim Bevers of Lubbock, Kyra Blankenship of Lubbock, Erin Blankenship of Lincoln, Nebraska and Eric Blankenship of Troy, Missouri; 5 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren.
