Carmen Martinez

Services for Carmen Martinez of Brownfield will be held at 2 pm Saturday, May 23, 2015 at the Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ruben Garcia, Sr. and Rev. Rey Quintanilla officiating. Burial will follow in the Brownfield Cemetery.

Viewing will be at the Brownfield United Pentecostal Church, 1501 E. Tate, on Thursday and Friday from 9am to 9pm.

Carmen passed away Friday, May 15, 2015 at her home in Brownfield. She was born May 31, 1954, to Delfino and Carmen Moreno Hernandez in Porvenir, Juarez. She married Manuel Martinez in Praxedis, G. Gro on September 5, 1973. Carmen worked as a provider at the Brownfield Regional Medical Center. She was a kind, helpful, caring and loving person. She cared about everyone, loved her family and especially her grandchildren. Carmen loved to cook and picking up and dropping off her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, son, Manuel Martinez, Jr., grandson, brother, Adolfo Hernandez, and sister, Monica Hernandez.

Carmen is survived by 3 daughter, Susanna Insuriaga and husband, Juan, of Brownfield, Grieselda Sanchez and husband Jose of Brownfield, Ruth Amaya and husband, Abel, of Brownfield; 9 grandchildren; 2 brothers; and 8 sisters.
