Etta Catherine Ward, 71, of Tokio passed away Sunday, August 2, 2009. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at Assembly of God Church in Plains. Interment will follow in Plains Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Catherine was born February 14,1938 in Bluegrove, Texas to Edwin and Valrie Rials. She married Floyd Lemone Ward June 20, 1953. Together they moved throughout West Texas. He preceded her in death April 27, 2003. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Plains. She was preceded in death by a son, Edwin Dennis Ward.
Catherine is survived by 2 sons, Randy Ward of Smyer and Richard Ward of Tokio; 2 daughters, Darla Billiot of Clovis, New Mexico, Jane Morcom of Newcastle, Texas; 18 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren and her sister, Edwinna Goode of Spencer, Oklahoma.
