Services for Clemente Martinez, 81, of Brownfield will be at 10am, Monday, September 20, 2010 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Carter and Marcelino Banda officiating. Burial will be in Meadow Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Clemente will be in state Sunday at Brownfield Funeral Home from 12-8pm and a prayer service and visitation from 6-8pm.
Clemente went to be with the Lord peacefully at his home in Brownfield on September 17, 2010. He was born July 25, 1929 in Gillett, Texas to Isaac and Maria Martinez. He moved to Brownfield in 1969. He was a farmer. He attended Calvary Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by 3 brothers, Jose Martinez, Benito Martinez and Ruben Martinez.
Clemente is survived by 5 children, David Martinez and wife Betty of Brownfield, Felix Martinez and wife Mary of Brownfield, Clarissa Rodriguez and husband Joe of Wolfforth, Liz Moroles and husband Joe of Odessa and Jeffrey Perez and wife Yvette of Lubbock; 5 sisters, Ofelia Garza of Lubbock, Consuelo Rodriguez of Ropesville, Elida Carter of Elfrida, AZ, Adelita Alonzo of Meadow and Eloiza Guzman of Loop; two brothers, Anselmo Martinez and Raul Martinez, both of Meadow; 18 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
