Services for Clydene DePoyster, 81, of Corinth will be at 1 PM, Saturday, January 26, 2013 at First Baptist Church in Brownfield with Alva Leon Smith officiating. Burial will be in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
There will be a family visitation at Brownfield Funeral Home on Friday from 6-8 PM.
Clydene passed away Monday, January 21, 2013 in Corinth. She was born May 20, 1931 in Haskell Co., Texas to Walter Ray and Lois (Sorrell) Skiles. She attended school in Munday, Texas prior to moving to Brownfield with her parents in 1949. Clydene was married to Leon W. “Bill” DePoyster May 7, 1949. Clydene and Bill resided in Brownfield until 1976 when they moved to Lubbock.
Clydene was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a granddaughter, Talva Smith Davis; and three brothers, Lemoin, Wilford, and James Skiles.
Clydene is survived by four daughters and two son-in-laws, Julie and Doyle Miller of Abilene, Debra DePoyster of Odessa, Teresia DePoyster of Odessa, and Joyce and Victor Cornuaud of Corinth; grandchildren, Alva Smith, Genene Russell, Jeff Talley, Alysia Bradley, DeNae Giffith, Tori Cornuaud, Dan Miller, Doug Miller and Dina Miller; fourteen great grandchildren; and one brother, Don W. Skiles of Gatesville.
Pallbearers will be: Levi Smith, Spencer Smith, Jacob Smith, John Russell, Dan Miller, Mike Skiles, Pat Fowler and Ronnie Talley.
There will be a family visitation at Brownfield Funeral Home on Friday from 6-8 PM.
