Consuelo Najera

Services for Consuelo Najera, 86, of Meadow will be held at 2pm on Monday, February 22, 2016 at Meadow Church of Christ with Alfredo Penieda officiating.

Visitation will be held at Brownfield Funeral Home on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at 5pm.

Consuelo was born on September 19, 1929 in Lassalle, Colorado to Jose and Antonia Guerrero. She was a member of Meadow Church of Christ. Consuelo married Victor Najera on August 21, 1949 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. She was a loving wife and mother to her family. She loved tending to her garden. Consuelo is preceded in death by her son, Victor Najera, Jr.

Consuelo is survived by her husband, Victor Najera; 2 sons, Johnny Najera and wife Lupe of Meadow and Paul Najera and wife Maria of Lubbock; 7 daughters, Mary Darling and husband Neal of Meadow, Rachel Perez of Meadow, Elsa Altamirano and husband Roy of Brownfield, Rosie Garza and husband Eddie of Wellman, Avelina Flores and husband Raul of Levelland and Balvina Cavazos and husband Richard of Meadow, Delores Comes of Harlinton, Tx; a daughter in law, Rosa Najera of Odessa; 23 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; a great grandchild; a sister, Josie Rosas and husband Charlie of Sweetwater and 2 brothers, Fransico Guerrero and wife Suzan of Denver City and Isidoro Guerrero of Chicago.
