Donald Joseph Burda, 73, of Brownfield passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at his home.
Donald Joseph Burda was born February 6, 1940 in Bremond, Texas and was raised in a Polish Community. Don is preceded in death by his parents Floyd Stanley and Frances Burda and a brother Christopher Burda. He married Dovie Adams Fifty–four years ago. Throughout their many adventures they had three children, Kathy Murray, Leesa Burda and Jay Burda. They have two grandchildren, Shawn Murray and Kristan Lara and two great grandchildren, Kimber and M.J. Lara.
Don was a man amongst men to all who knew or met him. He was a founding member of Brownfield Police Reserves. He started his banking career at a young age at the First National Bank in Brownfield. Don retired as Vice President of Lamesa National Bank after more than two decades of service. He was a man of patience and was always willing to share any knowledge at hand. All family members and friends will be glad to follow in the footsteps of a great man.
