Doris Beck, 84, of Brownfield passed away Monday, March 16, 2009 at Brownfield Rehab and Care Center. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2009 at Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ken Horn officiating.
Doris was born on August 31, 1924 to Gus and Maggie Estill in Mineral Wells, TX. She moved to Brownfield with her family as a small child. She attended schools in Gomez and Union. She married Raymond A. Beck on March 9, 1940 in Brownfield. He preceded her in death on December 1, 1983. She is also preceded in death by 6 sisters, 3 brothers and 6 half brothers and sisters.
Doris is survived by 4 sons, Doyle Beck and his wife Betty of Shawnee, OK, Mickey Beck of Seminole, Danny Beck and his wife Sharon of Wynona and Randy Beck and his wife Sheila of Lyndale; 2 daughters, Doris Jean Payne and her husband Mike of Brownfield and Jean Ann Beck of Maryland; 13 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; her brother, James Fleming Estill of Brownfield; her sister, Frances Allene Crawford of Arlington and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will have a vistitation from 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday night.
