Edna B. George, 81, of Austin and formerly of Brownfield passed away on Friday, July 24, 2009 in Austin. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 27, 2009 at Immanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Payne officiating. Interment will follow at Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends Sunday at the funeral home from 4-6pm.
Edna was born on December 25, 1927 in Breckenridge, Texas to Guy and Clara Moreman. She moved with her parents to Brownfield in 1943 where she graduated from High School in 1946. She married Harvie George on November 4, 1949. He preceded her in death on November 9, 2000. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
Edna is survived by her son, Mike George and his wife Theresa Pella of Cedar Park and 4 sisters, Jimmie Chapman and her husband Don of Morgan Hill, Juanelle Goldston and her husband Leon of Dublin, Jolene Jones and her husband Roy of Ft. Worth and Margie Daniels of Stephenville.
The family will receive friends Sunday at the funeral home from 4-6pm.
