Edna Ware, 89, of Brownfield passed away September 21, 2011 in San Angelo. Services will be held at 10am on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Brownfield Funeral Home Chapel with Jon Patrick officiating. Burial will follow in the Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held Friday from 5-8pm .
Edna was born on January 25, 1922 to Wylie and Bessie Sims in Mobeetie. She graduated from Mobeetie High School. She met Kelly Ware and they were married on August 7, 1938 in Shamrock. Edna moved to Brownfield in 1940 and was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church. She also served as Axillary for G.A. She is preceded in death by her husband, Kelly Ware and a daughter, Lana Durham.
Edna is survived by her daughters, Dee Ann Miramontes, Arlie Dunn and Reta Taylor; 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 33 great-great grandchildren.
