Services for Elbert Landess, 65, will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 24, 2008 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Land officiating under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Internment will follow at the Terry County Memorial Cemetery.
Elbert passed away Sunday, January 20, 2008 in Brownfield. He was born February 13, 1942 to C.E. and Alene Landess in Coleman, Texas. He moved to Brownfield with his parents in 1943. He graduated from Brownfield High School. He was employed with Terry County as a maintenance driver for 24 years until his retirement in 2005. He married Roberta "Bobbie" Hart on January 1, 1966 in El Campo, Texas. He was a lifetime member of the Terry County Sheriffs Posse. He was a member of First Baptist Church.
Elbert is survived by his wife Bobbie and his daughter; Laura Langner and her husband Brian of Knippa, Texas.
