Elizabeth Eldora Blake

Services for Elizabeth “Dodie” Blake, 71, of Meadow will be held, Saturday, February, 11, at 10am at the First Baptist Church of Meadow with Rev. Ken McClung officiating. Burial will follow at Meadow Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 6-8pm at Brownfield Funeral Home

Dodie passed away Wednesday, February 08, 2012 in Meadow after a long battle with ALS. She was born on July 20, 1940 in Hutchinson County to Rupert and Flora Wylie. She attended Meadow schools. Dodie married Don Blake on October 30, 1960 in Brownfield. She worked for Peeples Ceramics in Abernathy for 20 years.

Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Don of Meadow; 2 daughters, Amanda Berglund and Adora Blake of Meadow; 2 grandchildren, Heather Foster and husband Justin of Lubbock and Dustin Berglund of Meadow; 3 brothers, Robert Wylie and wife Kaye of Ropes, Dale Wylie of Meadow and Melvin Wylie of Virginia; a sister in law, Nell Wylie of Lubbock.
