Elsie Clare Jackson, 84, of Midland and formerly of Brownfield, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2008 in Brownfield.
Elsie was born on July 14, 1924 to Britt and Lilly Clare in Tokio, Texas. She graduated from Brownfield High School. She married Riley Jackson on February 22, 1954 in Raton, NM. They moved around the country following the oil field until moving to Midland in 1957. He preceded her in death on October 20, 1995. She is also preceded by a daughter, Betty Barnett in 2003.
Elsie is survived by 2 daughters, Retha Jackson of Brownfield and Barbara Paxton of Old Hickory, Tennessee; 3 sons, Bruce Paxton and his wife P. J. of Midland, Barry Paxton and his wife Kay of Brownfield, and James Jackson of Brownfield; son-in-law, Roy Barnett of Greenwood; 9 grandchildren, Brenda Nikolai, Clint Barnett, Chad Paxton, Brittany Morris, Sherry Allen, Shannon Paxton, Michael Paxton, Lance Jackson and J.R. Jackson; 7 great grandchildren.
