Services for Elvira Rivera, 69, of Brownfield will be held at 10am Saturday, August 31, 2013 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with Father Gerald Leatham officiating.
Visitation will be held at Brownfield Funeral Home from 6-8pm on Friday, August 30, 2013.
Elvira was born on August 9, 1944 in Karn City to Phillip and Olivia Martinez. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. She worked for Grandma Mo’s and Plaza Restaurants for many years. Elvira is preceded in death by her parents, Phillip and Olivia Martinez; a son, Alfredo Rivera and a sister, Lillian Martinez.
Elvira is survived by her 2 daughters, Sonya Miranda and her husband Raymond of Midland and Liza Flores and husband Alfred of Brownfield; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Tina Salazar and husband Vincent of Brownfield and Rosie Rodgers of Brownfield; 2 brothers, Shorty Martinez and wife, Gloria, Phillip Martinez of Brownfield and a cousin Olgie Franco of Brownfield.
