Emma Jo Warren

January 23, 1926 — September 11, 2008

Emma Jo Warren, 82, of Lubbock will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 13, 2008 at Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Randy Rogers officiating. Internment will follow in the Terry County Memorial Cemetery.

Jo Warren passed from this life on Thursday, September 11, 2008. She was born on January 23, 1926 in Ralls, TX to W.M. and Margaret Stinnett. She completed high school in Brownfield where she met and married the love of her life and soul mate Dunk Warren. He preceded her in death in 2002 along with her parents and one brother, Guffy. Jo was the matriarch of the family, keeping the family focussed and enduring many challenges. In 1962, Dunk took the family to Tripoli, Libya for ten years and after that ten years to Jakarata, Indonesia with the oil companies. Retiring in 1985, they settled in Wimberley, TX. In 1998 they moved to Lubbock for health reasons to be close to their daughter. Jo loved her church and Sunday School class, and touched every life she came in contact with. She never met a stranger and would talk to anyone.

Those left to cherish her memory are the 3 children; Darwin, Jo Ella, and Roger along with their spouses; her 3 grandchildren; 5 great grand daughters; 1 special great grandson and her sister-in-law Doris Warren.

The family suggests memorials to Shadow Hill Baptist Church, 5911 4th St. Lubbock, TX 79416 or Meals on Wheels, 2304 34th St. Lubbock, TX 79411. They would also like to express special thanks to Dr. Starnes and staff and everyone at the Dialysis Center.
