Graveside services for Erie Mae Bench, 91, of Brownfield will be held at 10am, Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Terry County Memorial Cemetery with Leslie Lewis officiating.
Visitation will be held from 6-7:30pm, Friday, September 6, 2013 at Brownfield Funeral Home.
Erie was born on April 18, 1922 to James and Pearl Martin in Stephenville. She graduated from Brownfield School. Erie was united in marriage to Gerald Bench on June 17, 1940 in Lovington, NM. They were married for 73 years. Gerald preceded her in death on June 3, 2013. She is also preceded in death by her parents, James and Pearl Martin; a son, Jacky G. Bench, a brother Jimmy Martin and a sister, Inez Franklin.
Erie is survived by her 3 daughters, Jo Anna Wallace and husband Danny of Midland, Dr. Lee Durbin of Lubbock and Mary Jean Miller and husband John of Stafford, VA; 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, a great-great grandson and a sister, Geraldine Sexton of Lubbock
