Memorial services for Forrest Victoria Stubblefield, 94, of Brownfield will be held 11 am Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Terry County Memorial Cemetery with Dr. Matt Baird officiating.
Forrest passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2019 in Brownfield. She was born April 1, 1924 to W.E. and Johnny Bell (Milligan) Steen in Wilson. She graduated from Brownfield High School. Forrest married Jim Coston Cousineau on February 28, 1951 in Seminole. Jim preceded her in death on December 22, 1958. She then married Ronell "Ron" Howell Stubblefield on April 12, 1962 in Oklahoma. Forrest worked for 25 years as an executive secretary at GTE in Brownfield. She was a member of Brownfield First Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ron Stubblefield, and ten siblings.
Forrest loved her family and friends. She greatly enjoyed life -- dancing, slot machines, travel to fun places, a glass of wine with dinner, and time spent with those closest to her. Forrest deeply treasured the years she lived with and was lovingly cared for by her daughter, Cindy Cousineau.
She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Cousineau of Brownfield; son, Jim Cousineau and wife, Anna, of Tyler, brother, Buster Steen of Lubbock; and her grandsons, Daniel Cousineau of New York City, Eric Cousineau of Cambridge, Mass. and Brian Cousineau of Tyler.
The family is eternally grateful to the caregivers who contributed to making her final days comfortable. In lieu of flowers and memorials, the family asks for contributions to Brownfield First Baptist Church.
