Frances C. Burda, 91, of Brownfield passed away on Monday, November 2, 2009 in Brownfield. Graveside Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at Terry County Memorial Cemetery with Father Gerald Leatham officiating.
Frances was born on December 3, 1917 in Bremond, TX to Frank and Janie O'Lexy. She married Floyd Stanley Burda in 1935 in Bremond. They moved to Brownfield in 1950. Together they owned and operated Fair Department Store in Brownfield for over 25 years. He preceded her in death on January 5, 1999. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her son, Dr. Christopher Burda in 2008.
Frances is survived by her son, Don Burda and his wife Dovie of Brownfield; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
