Gerald A. Bench

Graveside services for Gerald A. Bench, 91, of Brownfield will be at 2pm, Thursday, June 6, 2013 at Terry County Memorial Cemetery. Burial will be under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

There will be a family visitation at Brownfield Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6-8pm.

Gerald passed away on Monday, June 3, 2013 in Brownfield. He was born on February 23, 1922 in Clay County, Texas to Joseph Alfred and Dona (Davison) Bench. He graduated from Brownfield High School. Gerald married Erie Mae Martin on June 17, 1940 in Lovington, NM. He was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran. He and his wife farmed the Terry County area for over 69 years. He was a member of the American Legion and NRA. He is preceded in death by a son, Jacky G. Bench and a brother, Lowell Bench.

Gerald is survived by his wife, Erie Mae Bench of Brownfield; 3 daughters, Jo Anna Wallace and husband Danny of Midland, Dr. Lee Durbin of Lubbock and Mary Jean Miller and husband John of Stafford, VA; 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and a great-great grandson.
