Gloria Dell McNabb

Services for Gloria Dell McNabb will be at 2pm Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Don McWhorter officiating.

Gloria passed away Friday, March 27, 2015 in Lubbock. She was born in Ropesville on November 24, 1933 to W.L. “Bud” & Nelma Hillis. She married Loyd McNabb on January 16, 1949. Gloria graduated from nursing school in 1968 and worked for Dr. Morris Knox and Dr. Noah Stone for many years. She retired after working several years for the South Plains Health Department.

Gloria is preceded in death by her parents, W.L. “Bud” & Nelma Hillis and her step-father, Marvin Walker.

Gloria is survived by her husband, Loyd McNabb of Brownfield; 3 daughters, Loy Dene “Dino” Countryman and husband Ken of Dalhart, Susie Zin and husband Steve of Edmond, OK, and Gwen Carlen of Lubbock; one sister, Margie Strickland of Saginaw; 4 grandchildren, Laura, Robin, Kenny, Kelly; 3 great-grandchildren, Chance, Lance, Kalley; and 2 cherished companions, Rosie and Buster.
