Services for Ila Trout, 90, formerly of Tokio will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at Brownfield Church of Christ with Bob Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

Ila passed away Sat., Sept. 8, 2007 in Denton. She was born October 27, 1916 in Burkett, TX to Berry Dee and Annie Pauline Wesley. She graduated from Burkett High School. Ila moved to Abilene and worked as a beauty operator for 5 years. She married Clyde Trout, Dec. 1, 1940 in Burkett. He preceded her in death June 11, 1995. They lived in California and Dallas during the War. They then returned to Tokio in 1944. They farmed and managed Trout Farm Supply near Tokio for 25 years. She also worked for the U. S. Postal Service as Postmaster while in Tokio for over 10 years. Ila was a member of Brownfield Church of Christ, Turner Home Demonstration Club and Terry County Heritage Museum. She is also preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.

Ila is survived by her sons, Rodney Clyde Trout of Denton and Reginald Cote Trout and Barbara of Southaven, MS; a granddaughter, Auria East of Denton; several nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorials to Brownfield Church of Christ Building Fund.

The family will have visitation 5-7pm Monday at the Funeral Home.
