Memorial services for Janie Lynn Moss, 79, of Brownfield will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at Brownfield First Baptist Chapel with Dr. Harlan Willis officiating. Services will be under the Direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Janie passed away Sunday, May 4, 2008 in Brownfield. She was born October 16, 1928 in Wheelock, Texas to Bob and Lillian Tarver Ryan. She attended and graduated from Lamesa High School in 1947. She then attended business college. She married Doyle Moss, February 4, 1948 in Wylie, Texas. They moved to the Union area in 1951. She and her husband farmed and ran a cotton ginning business. She was a member of Faith Chapel Baptist Church. Janie is preceded in death by one brother, one sister and her parents.
Janie is survived by her husband Doyle "Pud" Moss of Brownfield; a son, Bobby Moss and his wife Jackie of Brownfield; two daughters, Ann Marrow and her husband Delwin of Brownfield and Nancy Coon and her husband Greg of Georgetown; grandchildren, Michael and Angie Moss of Grapevine, Justin and Jami Moss of Grapevine, Amanda and Justin Stinson of Waxahachie, Donnie and Jeannie Marrow of Wolfforth, Brady and Holly Marrow of Wolfforth, Ryan and Jennifer McElroy of Addison; 7 great grandchildren, Brackstin, Brennen and Brody Moss, Sawyer Moss, Gavin Stinson, Dawson Marrow and Clara McElroy; a brother, Tommy Ryan of Haines City, FL; numerous nieces and nephews; special caregiver, Sylvia Casanova.
The family suggests memorials to VistaCare/Odyssey of Lubbock.
There will be a family visitation from 5:30 - 7:00 pm on Monday at the Funeral Home.
