Services for Jessie Mae Baker Parks, 88, formerly of Brownfield will be at 10:00 am, Monday, July 28, 2008 at Bethel Baptist Church with Bro. Jack Matlock and Rev. Travis Curry officiating. Burial will be in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

Jessie passed away Thursday, July 24, 2008 in Lubbock. She was born December 14, 1919 in Kiowa, Oklahoma to Roy and Ella Brumley. She moved with her parents to Quanah, Texas, where she graduated from Williams High School. She moved to Brownfield in 1935. She married F. L. Baker in 1933 in Altus, OK. He preceded her in death on April 10, 1955. She then married S. N. Parks on Aug. 17, 1957 in Hobbs, NM. He preceded her in death Dec. 21, 2001. Jessie worked in the Brownfield School Cafeteria's for 30 years. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Her family will be pallbearers.

Jessie is survived by her daughter, Louella Myers and her husband Glenn of Lubbock; two sons, Cecil Baker and his wife Linda of Lubbock and Wiley Baker and his wife Sandra of Brownfield; two brothers, Elvis Brumley of Eugene, OR. and Stanley Brumley of Stockton, CA; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family will have visitation from 6-8 Sunday, July 27th at the funeral home.
