Jessie Ozell Prather

Services for Ozell Prather, 91, of Brownfield will be at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Carter officiating and Rev. Jerry Roberts assisting. Interment will follow in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Ozell passed away Friday, May 11, 2007 at her home in Brownfield. She was born March 29, 1916 in Waurika, Oklahoma to Grover Cleveland and Hattie Biddle Thomas Brantley. She attended school in Oklahoma. She moved with her parents to Lynn County in 1925 and then to Tokio Community in Yoakum Co. in 1929. She married Virgil Prather, Feb. 29, 1936 in Brownfield. Virgil preceded her in death March 10, 1971. She is also preceded in death by two brothers, A. G. and Evert Brantley and a granddaughter Corby Blyth Charlebois. Ozell was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Betty Jo Charlebois of Brownfield and Myrna Loy Yun and her husband George of Waco; a sister Evelyn Farrar of Brownfield; three grandchildren, Dee Dee Charlebois, Beverly DeLeon and her husband Ralph and Guy Yun and his wife Linda; four great grandchildren, Heather DeLeon, Charlotte DeLeon, Zachary DeLeon and Christopher Yun.
