Services for Judy Dawson 79, of Brownfield will be at 10:30a.m. Thursday, April 24, 2008 at Calvary Baptist Church. Internment will follow at the Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Judy was born on December 11, 1928 in Roscoe, Texas to George and Bertha Folmar. She married J.B. Dawson on July 6, 1945 in Snyder, Texas. They moved to Brownfield in 1963 where she was a nurse at Brownfield Regional Medical Center until 1981 and then at the Methodist Hospital in Levelland before retiring. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Brownfield. She was preceeded by her husband of 54 years, J.B. Dawson.
She is survived by daughter, Connie Corby of Salina, Kansas; 4 sons, David Dawson of Texarkana, Marvin Dawson of Brownfield, Gary Dawson of Brownfield, and Charles Dawson of Clyde; her sister, Lois Carlton of Sweetwater; 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
