Jimmie D. Sherrin, 69, of Brownfield went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 6, 2010. Memorial Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 8, 2010, at Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Dr. Ken Horn officiating. Burial will be at Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
The family will have a visitation on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Jimmie was born on September 25, 1940 in Brownfield to J.W. and Marguerite Sherrin. He attended schools in Gomez through 6th grade, before moving to Brownfield schools where he graduated in 1959. He married Sherlyn Gray on March 31, 1967 at Tokio Baptist Church. He began farming in Terry County in 1964, retiring in 2002. Jimmie was a 32nd degree Mason. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Billie Dale Sherrin.
Jimmie is survived by his wife, Sherlyn Sherrin of Brownfield and his daughter, MaDawn Sherrin of Post.
