Jimmy Francile Moore

Jimmy Francile Moore, 85, passed through the doors of heaven on Sunday, September 12, 2010, in Midland, Texas. Her life will be honored with a Celebration Service at 10:30am on Friday, September 17, 2010 at Calvary Baptist Church, Brownfield, TX, with Rev. Steve Carter officiating.

Jimmy was born October 8, 1924, at her family's home in Brownfield to Clyde Lawrence "Satch" Green and Mary Elizabeth Green. Jimmy had one brother Clyde Green. Her grandparents were early settlers of Terry County and founding members of First Baptist Church of Brownfield.

After graduating from Brownfield High School at age 16, Jimmy attended Howard Payne in Plainview prior to marring her high school sweetheart Billie Buell Moore. After celebrating 50 years of marriage, Billie preceded her in death in December, 1996.

Jimmy began working as a legal secretary for McGowan & McGowan, when Billie entered the Navy after farming for several years. She later was the bookkeeper for Lloyd Moore & Sons Construction Co., and retired from Brownfield Clinic where she worked for Dr. Sherman Hope.

Jimmy attended first Baptist Church in Brownfield, and served as organist and pianist for many years. She enjoyed music and taught piano. Jimmy enjoyed sharing her talents, including hosting family dinners with wonderful home cooking. She blessed many friends with flowers from her lovely garden where she enjoyed the outdoors and nurtured her pet turtles. Jimmy learned to play bridge at age 80. She helped deliver meals to shut-ins until shortly before her passing. She will be greatly missed by many friends.

Jimmy loved family and is survived by four children: Judy E. Davis of Midland, Rod Moore and wife Karen of Lutz, FL, Bradford L. Moore and wife Carmie of Brownfield and Pam O’Neal of Broken Arrow, OK.

Her nine grandchildren are: Lonna Bartley of Plano, Ted Bartley and wife Sharon of Coppell, Aaron Moore and wife DeAnna of Houston, Latrice Amparan and husband Jaime of Junction City, KS, Tiffany Baker and husband Sloan of New Jersey, April Pier and husband Aaron of Lubbock, Ashli Moore and husband Paul Bartell of Pennsylvania, Derrick O'Neal and wife Amy of Tulsa, OK., and Tim O'Neal of Tulsa.

Jimmy has 12 great-grandchildren: Nicole, Caleb, Reed, Isaac, Jenna, Mandy, Madison, Carson, "V", Addison, Michael and Jack.
