Funeral services for John Manuel Lerma, 56, of Brownfield will be at 10am, Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with Father Gerald Leatham officiating. Burial will be in Brownfield Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
John passed away Saturday, May 18, 2013 in Lubbock. He was born September 22, 1956 in Richmond, Texas to Luis and Maria (Gonzales) Lerma. He attended Brownfield Schools. John married Edna Alvarado on June 29, 2012 in Brownfield. He was a truck driver for Titan Trucks Inc. in Levelland.
John is survived by his wife Edna of Brownfield; a daughter, Amanda Valenzuela of El Paso; 5 sons, Zack Lerma of Hillsboro, Michael Solorzano of Hillsboro, Demencio Solorzano of Tucson, AZ, Rudy Solorzano of Lubbock and John Fred Solorzano of San Antonio; 9 grandchildren; 5 sisters, Lidia Padilla of Hillsboro, Lora Soliz of Hillsboro, Lupe Lerma Hillsboro, Mary Garcia of Lubbock and Jennie Hernandez of Brownfield; 2 brothers, Leo Lerma of Whitney and Louis Lerma of Plainview.
