Services for John Henry Jones, 90, of Brownfield will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, December 29, 2008 at Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Freda Jones officiating. Burial will be in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

Johnny passed away Friday, December 26, 2008 at his home in Brownfield. He was born October 2, 1918 in Otto, Texas to Rueben and Mary Lou Jones. Johnny married Nellie Jane Roper, Dec. 24, 1938. She preceded him in death in October of 2000. He then married Sue Loya, July 10, 2001 in Grand Prairie, Texas. He was a farmer in Dawson and Gaines Counties for over 40 years. He is preceded in death by three brothers and a sister. Johnny was a member of the Welch Baptist Church.

Johnny is survived by his wife Sue of Brownfield; 3 sons, Michael Jones and wife Shirley of Welch, David Jones and wife Judy of Seminole and Mark Jones and wife Freda of Seminole; a daughter, Patsy Baty and husband Richard of Welch; a brother, James Laverne Jones and wife Annette of Tulsa, OK; a sister, Erma Lou Thomas of Conroe; 11 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; a step-daughter, Lydia Mata and her husband Alfred of California City, CA; a step-son, Ruben Medina and his wife Elma of Round Rock; 6 step-grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren.
