Lawrence Weldon Fulford

Services for Lawrence Weldon Fulford, 91, of Brownfield will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 6, 2008 at Brownfield Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Moore officiating. Burial will follow at 11:30 a.m. in Resthaven Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

Lawrence went home to be with our Lord on Tuesday, March 4, 2008 in Lubbock. He was born August 14, 1916 to Lathe Walter and Susan E. Moorehead Fulford, in the small town of Purvis, Texas. He married Drucilla Minnie Collier, August 15, 1937 in Lubbock and they had four beautiful children together. She preceded him in death on Dec. 24, 2001. They moved to Terry County in 1951. Lawrence farmed in and around Brownfield all of his adult life, did custom cotton stripping, hauled propane and worked odd jobs to support his family.

Lawrence is survived by four children, Larry Fulford of Brownfield, Jorita Shaffer of Lubbock, Ruth Cantrell of Lubbock and Loyd Fulford and his wife Diane of Brownfield; 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
