Services for Lloyd T. Pickett, 91, of Brownfield will be at 10:30 am, Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Don McWhorter officiating. Burial will be in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Lloyd passed away Sunday, August 17, 2008 in Lubbock. He was born April 20, 1917 to Ramon Ivey and Veta Nancy Pickett in Sulphur Springs, Texas. He moved to Terry County in 1932. He was a WWII Army Veteran.
He married Irene McElroy, April 13, 1946 in Brownfield. She preceded him in death on March 20, 1988. He is also preceded in death by two sisters. Pallbearers will be Billy Lasiter, Howard Thompson, Gerald Goldston, Dale George, Dale Thompson and Calvin Smith.
Lloyd is survived by his sons, Larry and his wife Madeline and Raymond and his wife Susan all of Brownfield; 3 grandchildren, Mandi Boland and husband Carl of Lubbock, Beau Pickett and wife Randi of Conroe and Rusty Pickett of Brownfield; 4 great grandchildren, Taylor and Bryson Pickett and Hailee and Camdyn Boland.
The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
