Loyd Wayne Yowell

Services for Loyd Wayne Yowell, 77, of Brownfield will be 1:30 p.m., Thursday, October 18, 2007 at Brownfield First Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Land and Rev. Jonathan Land officiating. Interment will be in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Loyd passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2007 in Brownfield. He was born June 1, 1930 in Paducah, TX to Daniel Jason and Gay Yowell. He and his family moved to the Meadow area in 1936. He married Beryl Henson in 1948. Loyd and Beryl farmed in Terry County and are also co-owners of Larry's Chemical, now managed by their oldest son, Larry. Loyd was a member of Brownfield First Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by a son, Alan E. Yowell and a brother D. J. Yowell, Jr.
Loyd is survived by his wife Beryl; two sons, Larry and his wife Sharon and Dennis and his wife Peggy all of Brownfield; a daughter-in-law, Sheryl Yowell of Frisco; six grandchildren, Brad Yowell of Lubbock, Shelby Land and her husband Jonathan of Princeton, NJ., Lindsay Yowell of Midland, Taylor Yowell of Los Angeles, Calif., Rylan Yowell of Dallas and Farron Anderson and her husband Grant of Plano.
The Family suggests memorials to Brownfield First Baptist Church Building Fund.
