Manuel Lopez, 84, of Meadow passed away Thursday, December 20, 2007 in Lubbock. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 24, 2007 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Father Gerald Leatham officiating.
Manuel was born on August 25, 1923 to Cecilio and Filomena Lopez in Linares Nuevo Leon in Mexico. He married Isidra Alvarez in 1948 in Harlingen, Texas. They moved to Brownfield in 1959. She preceded him in death. He worked as a farmer in Terry County for many years. Pallbearers will be Manuel Lopez, Juan Garcia, Jonathan Lopez, Manuel Acosta, Geno Garcia, Eddie Garcia, Carlos Garay and Cecil Lopez.
He is survived by 3 sons, Jessie Lopez of Levelland, Cecil Lopez of Meadow, and Joe Lopez of Brownfield; 2 daughters, Estella Granado of Meadow and Mary Garay of Meadow; 14 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
