Martha Ann Pitts

Memorial services for Martha Ann Pitts, 74, of Meadow will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 22, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Meadow with Rev. Ken McClung officiating. There will be a family visitation after the lunch on Monday.

Martha Ann Pitts was born December 5, 1938 in Brownfield to Lee V. Bartlett, Sr. and Millie Fay Strickland. She graduated from Meadow High School and Harden Simmons University. Martha married Loran Pitts on February 25, 1968 at the family home in Meadow. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Meadow and worked for Needmore Gin Inc for 26 years. Martha is preceded in death by two brothers, James Bartlett and Lee Bartlett, Jr. and a nephew, Michael Lewis.

Martha is survived by her husband, Loran Pitts of Meadow; two daughters, LeeAnn Hancock of Ropesville, Lorna Pitts of Lubbock; three grandchildren, Stuart Pitts of Fresno, CA, Wesley Hancock of Ropesville, Susan Hancock of Ropesville; sister, Bobbie McClintick of Denton; three step-children, David Pitts of Tulsa, OK, Steve Pitts and wife, Jan, of Tulsa, OK, Carol Stanley and husband, Rory, of Broken Arrow, OK; two sister-in-laws, Betty Bartlett of Gatesville, Carolyn Bartlett of Fort Worth; and several nieces and nephews.
