Services for Mary Ellen Wenzel will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at First United Methodist Church in Brownfield with Rev. Charles Addington officiating. Internment will follow at the Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Mary Ellen passed away Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007 in Lubbock. She was born Dec. 2, 1930 in Brownfield to Cecil and Laura O'Neal. She graduated from Brownfield High School. She married Leo Wenzel on February 2, 1949 in Brownfield. Mary was a member of First United Methodist Church where she was involved in many church activities. She participated in Maid and Matrons.
Mary is survived by her husband Leo of Brownfield; 2 Daughters, Theresa Berne and her husband Ed of McKinney and Virginia Wenzel of Littlefield; her sister Vona Lee Hudspeth of Brownfield; her brother Johnny O'Neal of Houston; and numerous neices and nephews.
