Services for Olivia B. Vasquez, 81, of Brownfield will be at 10am, Friday, March 18, 2011 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with Father Gerald Leatham officiating. Burial will be in Brownfield Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

Our beautiful Olivia left this world to be in heaven with the Lord on Tuesday, March 15, 2011. She is looking down on us with a smile on her face, waiting for the rest of us to join her. She was born November 8, 1929 in Del Rio to Ramon and Julia Bravo. Olivia married Armando Vasquez on February 19, 1952 in Del Rio. She loved cooking, sewing and quilting. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her parents; a son, Victor Vasquez, Sr.; a brother, Verado Bravo; a sister, Guadalupe Bravo; a daughter-in-law, Elicia Vasquez. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

Olivia is survived by her husband Armando Vasquez, Sr. of Brownfield; 2 sons, Reynaldo Vasquez of Lubbock and Armando Vasquez, Jr. of Brownfield; 4 daughters, Maricella Garcia and husband Pedro of Brownfield, Hilda Vasquez of Brownfield, Sylvia Bautista and husband Juan of Idalou and Sally Castillo and husband Seberiano of Lubbock; a daughter-in-law, Anita Vasquez of Brownfield; a sister, Juanita Rodriguez of Del Rio; 25 grandchildren and 50 great grandchildren.
