Services for Olivia Edith Howard, 89, of Brownfield will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at Immanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Payne and Rev. Jon Patrick officiating. Internment will follow in the Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Olivia passed away Sunday, November 23, 2008 in Abilene. Olivia was born on May 25, 1919 to John and Susie Boring in New Castle, Texas. She married W.F. "Bill" Howard on July 10, 1937 in Haskell. They moved to Brownfield in 1941. He preceded her in death on November 14, 1967. She is also preceded in death by a brother, Odis Boring, Sr. and 2 sisters, Ivy Herod and Leona Prestridge.
Olivia is survived by 4 sons, Kenneth Howard and his wife Iola of Norman, OK, Johnnie Howard and his wife Brenda of Clyde, TX, Donnie Howard and his wife Lois of Brownfield and Rickie Howard and his wife Cathy of Brownfield; 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Evonna Smith of Bakersville, CA.
Pallbearers will be John Howard, William Howard, Chris Howard, Wade Howard, Jason Howard, Scott McClure, Tim Hogue and Eric Howard.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Hendrick Hospice Care, 1682 Hickory Street, Abilene, TX. 79601
