Services for Pansy Barton Singletary, 96, of Brownfield will be at 10am, Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at Brownfield Church of Christ with Bob Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

Pansy passed away Monday, December 20, 2010 in Brownfield. She was born December 14, 1914 in Seminole to Lane and Clara Elizabeth Barton, Sr. Pansy married Herbert O. Singletary on December 25, 1932. He preceded her in death on March 20, 1998. She is also preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers, Lane, Avery and Roy Barton; 2 sisters, Marie Shropshire and Mildred Christopher. Pansy was a devoted wife and mother. She loved her grandchildren, great grandchildren, her church and enjoyed all of the flowers in her yard. She was a member of Brownfield Church of Christ where she participated in teaching children's classes.

Pansy is survived by 2 daughters, Robby Swallows and husband Lee of Lubbock and Herbie Boswell and husband Bob of Brownfield; a sister-in-law, Molly Goodpasture of Brownfield; 5 grandchildren, Leta Holmes and husband Ron of Abilene, Jay Puckett of Corinth, Kirk Boswell and wife Amber of Abilene, Renay Grosstueck of Lubbock and Eric Boswell and wife Kim of The Woodlands; great grandchildren, Blake Boswell, Erik Grosstueck, Linsey Holmes, Brandon Boswell, Rachael Holmes, Brett Boswell, Zach Boswell and Jake Boswell.

The family suggests memorials to Brownfield Church of Christ or charity of one's choice.
