Pansy Omega Palmer

June 22, 1911 — August 14, 2010

Pansy Omega “Granny” Palmer, 99, of Plains went to her Lord and Savior, Saturday, August 14, 2010 in Lubbock. Services will be at 2pm Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at Hillside Church of Christ with Ray Young officiating and David Boyles assisting. Burial will follow in Plains Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

Pansy was born on June 22, 1911 in Wolf City, Texas to J.M. and Gertrude Malone. She married Raymond Mancil Palmer on September 9, 1932 in Clovis, NM. He preceded her in death on Jan. 30, 1979 after 47 years of marriage. She was a member of Hillside Church of Christ in Plains for over 50 years. She was a faithful servant of the Lord. She left a great legacy of faith, the importance of family and genuine hospitality. She was a blessing in the lives of many children who she loved to care for. She took special care of Marcey and Yancey House, loving them like her own grandchildren. She is also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Julie Vennette Olenik.

Pansy is survived by 2 daughters, Judy Fitzgerald and husband Vennum of Plains and Jeanne Eaks and husband Charles of Cloudcroft, NM; 3 sons, Jim Palmer and wife Derryl of Boise City, OK, Jack Palmer and wife Martha of Plains and Joe Bob Palmer and wife Elizabeth of Woodrow; 14 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Gloria Scheinder of Grand Prairie.
