Richard Rodriguez, 87, passed away Monday, January 10, 2011 in Brownfield. He was born on April 3, 1923 in Aguascalientes, Mexico to Jose and Antonia Correa Rodriguez. He married Juanita Garcia on April 30, 1948 in Aguascalientes. They lived 50 years in California before moving to Brownfield recently due to illness. He is preceded in death by a sister, Catalina Acebedo.
Richard is survived by his wife of 63 years, Juanita Rodriguez of Whittier, CA.; a daughter, Maria Benton of Brownfield, TX.; his sons, John Rodriguez and wife Marielena of El Paso, TX., Alex Rodriguez and wife Suzie of La Habra, CA., Dr. Robert Rodriguez of Tucson, AZ., David Rodriguez and wife Sally of Whittier, CA., Joe Rodriguez and wife Myriam of Whittier, CA., and Danny Rodriguez and wife Laura of Downey, CA.; 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; a brother Ricardo Rodriguez of Aguascalientes, Mexico; many nieces and nephews.
