Memorial services for Roy Lee Burks, 72, of Brownfield will be at 10am, Thursday, October 25, 2012 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Carter officiating.
Roy went to be with his Lord Saturday, October 20, 2012 at his home in Brownfield. He was born on April 23, 1940 to Ollie and Della (Jackson) Burks. He graduated from Lovington High School. He was a U.S. Air Force serving in Guam from 1960-1964. Roy married Dottie Agnes on November 4, 1985. He was a supervisor at Brownfield Farmers CO-OP for 43 years. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Roy is survived by his wife, Dottie of Brownfield; daughters, Kim Thompson and her husband Dale of Yukon, OK, Kim Gafford of Lubbock, Le’Ann Estrada and husband Anthony of Littlefield and Amee Dobson and husband Scott of Levelland; a son, Scott McCutchen and wife Diane of Brownfield; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Brownfield Calvary Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society.
