Services for Royce Cornett, 67, of Brownfield will be 3pm, Monday, September 17, 2012 at Brownfield Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jackie Gestes, II officiating. Burial will be in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
The family will receive visitors beginning at 1:30, prior to the service.
Royce passed away Thursday, September 13, 2012 in Brownfield. He was born March 10, 1945 to Earl Delmer and Nona Villa (Smith) Cornett. He graduated from Union High School. He then attended West Texas State University. Royce married Harlene Forbes in Santa Rosa, New Mexico on June 15, 1964. He was a farmer. He was a Baptist. He is preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Earlene Cargill; in-laws, Harol and Clarene Forbes.
Royce is survived by his wife, Harlene of Brownfield; a son, Junior Cornett and wife Stacey of Lenorah; 2 daughters, Latreca Baker and husband David of Frisco and Heidi Moore and husband Billy Joe of Muleshoe; 7 grandchildren, Addison Cornett, Andrew Cornett, Aubrey Baker, Mason Baker, Jo Moore, Cassidee Moore and Karley Moore; a great granddaughter, Emilee Baker; 2 sisters, Betty Hinson of Brownfield and Genell Ward and husband Gerald of Ropesville; in-law, Carla Goodpasture of Brownfield.
