Ruby Lela Bullard Jeter White

Ruby Lela Bullard Jeter White, 96, passed away Friday, May 11, 2007 in Lubbock. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2007 at the Brownfield Church of Christ with Bob Reynolds officiating. Lela was born on June 18, 1910 in Johnson County, Texas to Samuel and Sarah Bullard. She was raised in Lamesa. She married W.W. Jeter in 1925 in Lamesa where they farmed and owned a lumberyard. He preceded her in death on September 13, 1965. She then married P.J. White on October 10, 1974 in Brownfield. He preceded her in death on April 23, 1986. She was a lifelong member of the Brownfield Church of Christ. She is survived by 3 sons; Leroy Jeter and wife Betty of Brownfield, Levon Jeter and wife Veedajo of Brownfield, and Eugene Jeter and wife LeNeta of Gilmer, Texas, and her daughter; Eva Elizabeth Powell and her husband Sam of Burleson, 13 Grandchildren, several great- grandchildren and great- great grandchildren.
