Services for Ruthie Ann Wheeler, 60, of Seminole will be held at 2pm on Thursday, July 12, 2012 in the Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Mr. David Koren officiating. Burial will follow in the Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

Ruthie passed away on July 9, 2012 in Lubbock. She was born on April 14, 1952 to Hoyt John and Ruthie Wheeler in Brownfield. She graduated from Brownfield High School and then went on to get her Bachelors in Education from Steven F. Austin in Nacogdoches. Ruthie served in the U.S. Air force as a meteorologist. She taught math and science in Brownfield and Seminole schools. Ruthie was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on November 30, 1996. She is associated with the Denver City Congregation in Denver City. She is preceded in death by her parents, Hoyt John and Ruthie Wheeler.

Ruthie is survived by 4 brothers, Hoyt Wheeler and wife, Susan Marie, of Lubbock, John Wheeler and wife, Mary Sue, of Plainview, Robert Wheeler of Smithport, Pa, James Edward Wheeler and wife, Patricia, of Norco, Ca, and two sisters, Rita Jo Wilson of Weatherford, and Dorothy Marie May of Houston and numerous nieces and nephews.
