Services for Thelma Beaver, 91, of Brownfield will be at 2pm, Monday, January 9, 2012 at Brownfield Church of Christ with Bob Reynolds and Bo Shero officiating. Burial will be in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Sunday from 2pm-4pm.
Thelma passed away Friday, January 6, 2012 at her home in Brownfield. She was born April 28, 1920 in Granger to Jeff and Tenny Lee. She graduated from Union High School and the attended Draughons Business College. Thelma married Charlie J. Beaver on June 22, 1946 in Brownfield. Charlie preceded her in death in 2004 after 58 years of marriage. She is also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Larry Beaver; and a sister, Leona Kyle. She was a member of Brownfield Church of Christ where she loved teaching Bible Classes.
Thelma is survived by a daughter, Shirley Clem and husband Tommy of Amarillo; a daughter-in-law, Bonnie Beaver of College Station; nephew, Charles Kyle and wife Wanda of Artesia, NM; many friends and neighbors; and her church family, that she loved very much.
The family suggests memorials to the Children's Home of Portales or to the Children's Home of Lubbock.
