Service for Velen T. Elizardo, 55, of Brownfield will be at 10:00am, Friday, June 17, 2011 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Father Mike Melcher officiating. Burial will be in Brownfield Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Velen passed away Monday, June 13, 2011 at her home in Brownfield. She was born on June 24, 1955 in Meadow to Alfonso and Fidela Rocha. Velen had served in the U.S. Army Reserves for 9 years. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church.
Velen is survived by her husband, Junior Elizardo of Brownfield; 2 children, Jaime and Stephanie, both of Brownfield; a grand daughter Braelynn Garcia of Brownfield; 4 brothers, Abel, Alfonso Jr, Ricky and Eddie; 2 sisters, Maria Jacuinde and Amelia Garcia.
