Services for Christine Purvis,79, of Brownfield will be held at 10am on, Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Brownfield Funeral Home with Rev. Jon Patrick officiating. Burial will be held in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Christine will be in state at the funeral home on Friday from 9am to 8pm.
God called Christine home Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at her home in Brownfield. She was born to John Riley Rose and Mary Elizabeth McDonald on February 15, 1932 in Whitney. She moved to Brownfield at an early age and attended Brownfield schools. She married Claude Purvis on December 12, 1951 in Brownfield. Claude preceded her in death on August 10, 1991
Christine is survived by her three daughters, Sylvia Cunningham, Vickie Pruiett and Donna Purvis, two sons, Danny and Russel Purvis, 11 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
Christine will be in state at the funeral home on Friday from 9am to 8pm.
